Raqs Assaya - Saidi Stick Dance Workshop

From the basics to stage-ready technique (and a few flashy moves), this workshop focuses on saidi dance with the assaya, suitable for inclusion as a tableau in your orientale dance set, or just for your own enjoyment.

We will use the concepts of;

1. Framing
2. Demonstrating
3. Relating

to break down ways of approaching both improvising and choreographing with the stick. A limited number of sticks will be available to borrow. Bring a stick if you have one (straight is better, but a cane will work for most moves).
